To sum up the last year, 2017 was even busier than the previous. We put much more emphasis into the WILL SCOTT TRIO, adding tunes to fill out a solid roster of songs for a night of rock and roll! We've had Dann Schroeder on the kit with us since last summer, and the Trio sound is tightening up with so many shows under our belts.
Last year had many highlights including a Rockin' River Revue
on the mighty St. Lawrence River, numerous gigs at venues local to the Leeds and Grenville area, along with a couple of private parties! The DUO performed at two fundraising functions this past winter to help raise money and awareness for a family in need, as well as the annual televised 30 Hour Palliative Care Telethon in Brockville.
We were busy through the winter as well, with a gig or two each month keeping our momentum. We have performed three shows at Ottawa's Brass Monkey
which is an amazing live music venue just down the road from my neighborhood.
Looking ahead into this year (which is well on it's way), we have near solid bookings until the end of August, with dates already on the books for September and October!!
The past two years have seen a lot of emphasis on growing a base of fans familiar to our music in both the DUO and TRIO configuration. I still intend to put emphasis on a solo show, which will eventually keep me closer to home and performing in the Ottawa area more regularly - but I don't intend to stop playing the venues that have really worked hard to support us and live music!! To that end, I am seeking opportunities here locally, and getting much closer to booking a couple of solo dates which I'll announce soon!
I'm not gonna lie, it's been a whirlwind through this the last year, and the 2018 spring/summer/fall is already very busy with a load of shows on the way!
